Parents and caregivers in the District of Columbia have many tools
available to them to plan for the future care and custody of their
children. This section describes the various options available relating
to making decisions about medical care for yourself and for your children,
making decisions about your finances, and making decisions about your
children's future.
Information contained on these "District Toolbox" pages
pertains to the laws, procedures and legal documents which are specific
to the District of Columbia. Residents of other states should consult
attorneys or other knowledgeable service providers for further information
and for assistance in making decisions and completing documents.
